About the Awards
The Island's most prestigious sporting honours
Established more than half a century ago, the Awards shine a spotlight on the athletes, coaches, volunteers and clubs who inspire our community. Each year over 20 awards are presented, honouring rising stars, schools, coaches, volunteers, lifetime achievement and service to sport.
Sport on the Isle of Wight is built on passion, teamwork and community spirit. These awards celebrate that spirit, acknowledging the people who give their time freely and the organisations that make sport accessible to everyone.

Island Community
Who can you nominate?
Three ways to recognise excellence
Individuals
From junior athletes to masters competitors, coaches, volunteers and officials, across boys, girls, men, women and disability categories, plus special awards like Making a Difference and Outstanding Commitment.
Teams/Clubs
Junior, Intermediate, Senior and Disability teams who have achieved together at club, county, regional, national or international level over the sporting year.
Schools
Primary and Secondary Island schools that go beyond the PE National Curriculum to promote sport and physical activity for all their pupils.
